  1. One warm afternoon last week, when the belay Team was staying at Uvie, I invented a new game for The Nog. I took myself off to dig the veg patch so that seed potatoes could go in. Nog came too: his Master was laying a floor, no fun at all. Weeding wasn’t much fun either, until I took it into my head to throw one for him to catch. We were off. He would lie on his front paws with his eyes glued to my hands, waiting for me to prize the weed free and shake the earth off. I then threw it up and he leapt to catch it. He was totally absorbed, totally concentrated and beautiful to watch. He was also very interested in my pee behind the potting shed, so a good time was had by all.
